Our Story
Green Leaf AI started from a simple observation: farmers were losing their palm trees to disease, and there weren’t enough tools to help them fight it. Bendjedid Rachad Sanoussi grew up in Pobé, Benin, and saw this firsthand in his father’s palm groves, where fusariosis was silently killing the trees. Years later, while studying in Morocco, he discovered that date palm growers faced the same problem with Bayoud disease.
With his background in technology and agriculture, he realized that a solution was possible. He shared his idea with like-minded friends, and Green Leaf AI was born: a platform using AI to detect disease at an early stage, recommend environmentally friendly treatments, and optimize water use. Today, the team works with farmers, cooperatives, researchers, and partners to bring sustainable innovation to agriculture across Morocco and beyond.
